About Me

Born the same year as the Nintendo Entertainment System was released in the U.S. I have always had ready access to video games. Playing games such as: Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt and Track and Field (on the same cartridge), Master Blaster and Wizards and Warriors. Even spending time with my father, playing Stealth ATF!

In the over 37 years since then, I have a strong career in Information Technology, entering into the industry in 2011.

I have two beautiful daughters together, both under the age of 6.

eSports History

In the summer of 2007, a Kansas City based LAN Party, Extreme LAN KC (ELKC), hosted a Battlefield 2 tournament, called: Operation Topeka. It pitted 12 teams of 4 against eachother, top prize was an XBOX 360. We came close to knocking out the only "professional" team at the time in the first round of the final stages, which was hosted at a converted Atlas Missile Silo near Topeka, KS.

The tournament was one of the first foray's into eSports for Red Bull, and far predated their current Red Bull Gaming division.

My rag-tag group of friends from a smaller LAN party out of Emporia, called E-Town LAN (ETL), weren't able to place above fifth place. However, everyone who made it to the final round enjoyed free Red Bull and an Operation Topeka branded Red Bull USB Thumbdrive.
